the CeBit 2005 trends:

First:
again and again the same: "products also like software going smater(er) - all-in-one, easy-to-use, intelligent (a.i.), intactive, individual, informative/-ed, independant,..."
but for that we have to wait further the next 10 years...sorry!


- the markets: asia roaring, US-firms laughing, EU-companies loosing further

- home entertainment: mhp (multimedia home platform) is coming - TV, internet, emails, videocam, housekeeper, housewatch, house-controll all in one...

- fon world: VoIP, SIP, free telefony: handy with the good old walkie-talkie function for private and near distance to save costs getting popular again

- egypt 3D-travel: have a 360 degree trip in the ancient egypt and a feeling of the life at these old times [by IBM]

- the old story as every year: all products becoming smarter: more intelligent, smaller, easy-to-use, lighter, comfortable...

- the truth: today there is no really intelligent artificual software or products, what we can call and name self-learning and more (not even chess computers) more

- not new but future: UTMS (universal mobile telecommunications system) for handy fast entrance, not as replacing other wide broadband standards but entering between: and then wehere is also DVB-T as digital terrestric TV - 16:9

- expensive but fun: HDTV (high-definition television): good known in USA and Asia, coming now also to europe

- killer applications: MMS / VMC (multimedia video message system) as video-picture-SMS for sending images and movies like imode in japan for years

- low cost web-phones: web-fon: internet telefony - voice over IP (VoIP) with SIP-phones: the new smart phones also as home-located phones with less costs; and then the old walkie-talkie direct speak function included in all fons in future

- robots over robs: the first self-programmed/-able robot for private households easy-to-use [by Fraunhofer-Society] and sey is new aibo as the (hawai - belly dancing) QRIO (all Sony)

- trendy: people with smartphone (handy + cam) on the street becoming news reportes and trendscouts themselves by filming sudden events till promi happenings...

- last not least: cheap - cheaper - more than cheap is the high-tech trend No.1; and convergence: all in one, all included, all get together,...the techn 'o dream: multifunction and no problems with connections to other gadgets...every year the same old ... promise. Nice wish for christmas...?
